My husband Tim and I have a beautiful marriage, founded in Christ Jesus alone. We are raising our little tyke, Cody, to know that Love is of God, and that Mercy and Grace are blessings from Him.  Tim and Cody bring joy to my heart every day. I am so glad they are in my life!

My family moved to the Bemidji area from Littleton, CO—a SW Denver suburb in the foothills of the Rockies. We loved backpacking the mountains and adventuring with our friends, but we are now grateful that we’re closer to our families. We're on staff at Oak Hills Center for Indian Ministries, following the call we have to serve Native Americans around here. We work mostly at Mokahum Ministry Center, where Tim is the Facilities Director.

Our hearts lie here, in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, with Paul Bunyan & Babe.

I graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2009 with a BA in Global Studies, focusing on History and Leadership.  After teaching 8th Grade at Hope Christian Academy in Littleton, CO— I pursued my dream of being a photographer!

Just before photographing my friends’ wedding in August 2010, I established Amy Kate Photography. Now, I am blessed to have a small business where I enjoy the passions and talents given me, to bless others—you!—with beautiful images of life. I wanted to use my name for the business, but decided I wanted it to sound a little smoother than "kastenbauer" so I went with my nickname. My middle name is Katherine... but some of my family and dear friends call me Amy Kate, and I love that!
